Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine return is 'beautiful' and 'moving'
Deadpool and Wolverine stars Emma Corrin and Rob Delaney reflect on working with the Australian actor
Watch: Emma Corrin and Rob Delaney discuss Hugh Jackman's return as Wolverine
Hugh Jackman's comeback as Wolverine seemed like something of a pipe dream after 2017's Logan, but return he has for Deadpool and Wolverine and it's even more "moving" than viewers might be expecting, Emma Corrin tells Yahoo UK.
The nonbinary actor plays the Marvel film's villain Cassandra Nova, and they share how meaningful it was to work with the Australian star in his most iconic role. The version of Jackman's character might not be what fans expect of the clawed hero, but Corrin describes what he conveys in Deadpool and Wolverine as "beautiful".
"Logan is one of my favourite films, I think the soul, the beating heart of that film is so beautiful and I think the Wolverine that you see in Deadpool [is] as well," Corrin says.
"As well as being raucous and funny and audacious, he is really moving in it, and the scenes that we shared —which had that timbre— I found them very beautiful. I felt like I was experiencing something that was a huge honour."

They added that Jackman is "one of the nicest people, probably, in the world" and that the experience on set was something else: "Working with him was just a joy from start to finish, he's such a gentle soul, he's such a good, great person and obviously Wolverine is so iconic."
Deadpool and Wolverine sees Jackman's X-Men character team up with Ryan Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth when he is tasked by the Time Variance Authority with doing so, Cassandra Nova is one of the villains to come across them during this time.
Rob Delaney, who plays Deadpool's friend Peter, felt similarly, with the comedian saying: "I got to watch The Wolverine at work, and such a pleasure, I mean what a dream come true.
"Because he's just ripped and greasy, and beautiful and angry, and to be in the physical presence of Wolverine is... I mean, you simply must do it if you ever get the chance. [It was] very special and I'll never forget it."
Delaney is one of the few Deadpool cast members to experience the change in leadership from Fox to Disney in real time, but the comedian reassures fans that nothing has changed about the film or it's feel because of this switching of hands.
"It definitely felt like a Deadpool movie," Delaney says. "It felt the same and it felt different because there were sets that people will see in this film that will blow your mind apart, and in person seeing them was ridiculous.
"So there was stuff on Deadpool and Wolverine that was much, much grander than on Deadpool 2 at the same time. It had a screenplay that, on its own, if you just read it like a book, you would know it sounded like the first two Deadpool [movies], so yeah, similar and different."
While he has to keep quiet about a lot of the aspects of the movie, Delaney says there is a moment with his character Peter that will rival the epic X-Force action sequence in Deadpool 2: "1000% yes, mega super for sure. Double yes there is, with no elaboration."
Deadpool and Wolverine is out now in cinemas.
