Hailee Steinfeld offered the lead role in new 'Hawkeye' Marvel series for Disney+
Hailee Steinfeld could be the newest member of the Avengers, having reportedly been offered the lead role in the new Hawkeye series for Disney+.
According to Variety, final negotiations are taking place for her to take up the role of Kate Bishop, who will take on the bow and arrow from the current Hawkeye, Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner in the the Avengers movies.
The series would follow Renner's Barton as he trains up the young Bishop to take on his mantel.

In the comic books, Bishop is a member of the Young Avengers, along with the likes of Hulkling, Prodigy and Marvel Boy.
The series will be penned by Jonathan Igla, one of the writers, and later an executive story editor, on hit show Mad Men.
And it could open up the potential for a further role in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe for the Bumblebee and True Grit star, if she picks up the part.

The Hawkeye show is among a number of Marvel projects set to land on Disney+ once it launches in November.
First up will be The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprising their roles as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes from the Avengers and Captain America movies, landing next year.
There's also the Loki series, with Tom Hiddleston as Thor's mischievous sibling, set for 2021, and then Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen as Vision and Scarlett Witch in ‘sitcom mash-up’ WandaVision, also set for release in 2021.
