Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 “The Biggest Spectacle Movie Of All Time,” Says Chris Pratt

It seems like we can anticipate something truly spectacular from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,’ if the word of its cast is anything to go by.

Vin Diesel has already presented himself on video looking absolutely flabbergasted after seeing some early footage of the film – and now Chris Pratt has made a bold declaration about the Marvel sequel.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Pratt explained he was “not allowed to say anything” about the movie (pretty standard), but did let slip, “it’s finished and it’s going to be terrific. I’m already so proud of it. We worked really hard on it and it’s a joy to be part of.”

”It’s a fabulous script. I think it’s going to be — I’m not using hyperbole, here - I think it’s going to be the biggest spectacle movie of all time.”

Pratt continued, “I’m fortunate. I’m fortunate in so many ways. I couldn’t count the ways, even if I tried. To be part of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is to be part of a franchise that really is so totally different. It’s new and exciting and unlike anything people had seen before.

“There are a lot of superheroes out there, but I think we do something a little different. The genesis of these characters was in the Marvel Universe but we do something a little different, more cosmic, with 'Guardians of the Galaxy.'”

In closing, Pratt promised that the sequel will be "exceptional.”

Though considered one of Marvel’s riskiest projects on release, 2014’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ proved a huge success both critically and commercially. Its box office takings of $773 million (approx £582 million) made it the comic label-turned-studio’s fifth biggest hit yet – and hopes are high that the sequel could break the illustrious billion dollar mark.

Also – if ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ really is as spectacular as its stars suggest, what on earth are the Russo Brothers going to pull out of their sleeves to make ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ even bigger?!

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ hits UK cinemas on 28 April 2017. Before that, Pratt can be seen in the remake of ‘The Magnificent Seven,’ opening 23 September.
