'Get Out' star Daniel Kaluuya wasn't invited to the movie's world premiere
Daniel Kaluuya, the breakout star of hit horror movie Get Out, has said he wasn't invited to the film's world premiere.
Director and writer Jordan Peele's movie was revealed to the public at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2017 ahead of its worldwide release.
British actor Kaluuya, now 32, played Chris, a photographer who goes to meet his girlfriend's wealthy parents at their sprawling estate in upstate New York.

But all is not as it seems, and Chris soon finds himself embroiled in an age-old body swapping conspiracy overseen by his girlfriend's family.
Speaking to Graham Norton, Kaluuya said: “They didn’t invite me, bro. They didn’t invite me.
“On the Sundance world premiere, I was in Atlanta because I was shooting [Black] Panther. I was chilling, I cleared my schedule. I was like, ‘I really wanna do it.’
“And then just didn’t get the invite. I wasn’t invited, so I was just in my bed – someone texted me, ‘It’s done really well,’ and I’m like, ‘Alright, that’s cool.’ That’s the industry, Graham.”
It may have been disappointing for him to miss a night out, but the movie cleaned up both critically and at the box office, making $255m from a tiny $4.5m budget.

It also propelled Kaluuya to stardom, with roles in the aforementioned Black Panther, Steve McQueen's Widows and the acclaimed Queen & Slim following.
His latest role is playing Black Panther icon Fred Hampton in Judas And The Black Messiah, reuniting with Get Out co-stars Lakeith Stanfield and Lil Rel Howery.
Kaluuya has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the role at this year's Golden Globes.
