'Frozen' and Marvel updates announced for Disneyland Paris
Disney is warming the hearts of European Frozen fans.
At this week’s Disneyland Paris Expo, the company gave updates on the previously announced big changes coming to the European resort’s Walt Disney Studios Park.
For starters, Disney officials teased that the new Frozen land, based on Anna and Elsa’s adventures in Arendelle, will include depictions of both the mountain and lake from the animated flick.
It will feature a Frozen ride, character encounters, a restaurant, and a shop. No specific opening date has been given yet, as the new area will be part of an expansion that will take several years.
Until that opens, fans can check out a new interactive experience at the park, “Frozen: A Musical Invitation,” beginning 17 November, and “Frozen Celebration,” from 3 January to 11 May, 2020. During those dates, characters from the love letter to sisterhood will appear in daily parades and at the nightly fireworks show.

For Marvel readers (and moviegoers), too, the news was just as exciting.
Disney unveiled plans to add Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, a hotel dedicated to the popular superhero franchise, at the Disneyland Paris resort. The Art Deco-style accommodations, inspired by the home of Spider-Man and other heroes, will showcase one of the largest collections of Marvel art in the world and, more importantly for the little ones, an area called Super Hero Station, where guests can interact with superheroes.

Comic book diehards will have to wait a little longer for the Avengers Campus, a planned Marvel area also at Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris; the campus is expected to open in phases beginning in 2021. However, they can book the hotel beginning 5 November for the opening in the summer of 2020.
The other dates that Marvel fans should remember are 24 March - 7 June, 2020, when Iron Man, Captain America and more will invade the park as part of new shows and experiences.
Walt Disney Studios Park will also soon be home to a Star Wars-themed land, which is expected in 2021, at the earliest — a time that sure seems far, far away at the moment.
Frozen 2, the sequel to 2013’s Frozen, comes to cinemas on 22 November.
