First full trailer for 'His Dark Materials' grips Comic Con
The first full trailer for the BBC and HBO's big budget adaptation of His Dark Materials has landed at Comic Con.
And it's a feast.
We got a brief look at what the mini-series will look like back in May, with a teaser introducing us to the parallel world where people have tangible spirit animals called daemons, armoured bears live to the north and witches streak across the skies.

But this extended trailer delivers much, much more, with Dafne Keen taking centre stage as Lyra Belacqua, the girl who discovers that children are being kidnapped by a shadowy organisation.
James McAvoy plays scholar and adventurer Lord Asriel, while Ruth Wilson is the mysterious Marisa Coulter, who takes Lyra under her wing.
Also among the cast are The Wire's Clarke Peters as Dr Carne, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Lee Scoresby, Ruta Gedmintas as Serafina Pekkala, James Cosmo as Farder Coram and Anne-Marie Duff as Ma Costa, while Otto Bathurst, best known for Peaky Blinders, is behind the camera.

Adapted from Philip Pullman's trilogy of novels, Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass, it has already secured a second, eight-episode series.
And it already looks to be a significant improvement on its predecessor – the first book was adapted into a movie in 2007, starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman.
But after it barely broke even at the box office, and received luke warm reviews, plans for two further films were abandoned.
His Dark Materials arrives on BBC One in the autumn.
