Kit Harington found it "surreal" to film scenes for Marvel blockbuster Eternals within miles of his home and his local pub.
Part of the first act of Chloe Zhao's epic superhero adventure takes place in and around Camden, as Kit Harington's Dane Whitman and his secretly-super girlfriend Sersi (Gemma Chan) are attacked by a monstrous Deviant.
Harington said it was "surreal" to be filming a Hollywood blockbuster, not only within miles of his home but in the same sort of streets he used to party in with co-stars Gemma Chan and Richard Madden.

"Having gone out many times in Camden in my twenties with Richard and Gemma, then to be on the streets of Camden at two in the morning filming a Marvel film, was kind of surreal," he told Yahoo.
The Game of Thrones star added: "It was weird. But I can't complain. I was 20 minutes from my own home.
"Getting to do a Marvel movie where you roll out of bed, turn up, do the Marvel movie and then get home in time for dinner was great."

It's far from the first time that Marvel and Disney have shot one of their major blockbusters on these shores, but it's rare for London to be able to play itself on the big screen.
"That was nice. We've got such a talented group of people in this country — filmmakers, crew, actors, you name it," said Harington.
"To see our actual country and somewhere like Camden represented in this movie, I found quite special."
Harington said he might even be able to leverage the locations the movie will make famous on his next night out after the film hits multiplexes in the capital.
The star added: "The pub I filmed in was my local pub, just up the road from me. The Old Queen's Head. I think I might get a few freebies in there, if I'm lucky."

With Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao at the helm, the movie follows the titular heroes as they resurface in order to defend Earth from the returning Deviants, thousands of years after they thought they had defeated them for good.
Eternals will arrive in IMAX and cinemas across the UK from 5 November.
