Did this 'Game of Thrones' star just get booed at Comic-Con?
It was clear from some of the online reactions at the time that some of the story choices in the last series of Game of Thrones may not have been popular with the fans. But no one thought that it would lead to one of the cast being booed when answering questions at this year’s Comic-Con.
But that’s what happened today when Nikolaj Coster-Waldau expressed his opinion about the fates of his character Jaime Lannister and his lover/sister Cersei.

And what did he say to provoke the negative reaction? “I think it was perfect for that character to end in the arms of Cersei. It made perfect sense to me.”
The boo – because there was just one – was actually done in a jokey manner and provoked a ripple of laughter from the audience.
Liam Cunningham – who plays Sir Davos in the drama – chipped in by saying, “there’s always one.”
Variety captured the moment on video and posted it to its Twitter feed.

Vulture reported that San Diego Comic-Con Director of Programming, Eddie Ibrahim, had tried to keep things light at the start of the questioning by saying, “Even if we disagree sometimes, we do love all the content that is brought to us. We do love the shows and the movies.”

Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss had pulled out of the event just days before things kicked off in San Diego. But Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Conleth Hill, John Bradley, Maisie Williams, Jacob Anderson, Liam Cunningham, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau all turned up to answer questions about the show, which has been so universally loved despite its controversial final season.
