Deadpool 3 is already in the works, will include X-Force
There have been a lot of problems with ‘Deadpool 2’ over the last few weeks. But 20th Century Fox are clearly not perturbed by these set-backs, because they’re apparently already working hard on ‘Deadpool 3’.
Not just that, but it’s also been reported that the third solo instalment for the character will see him pair up with another team from the ‘X-Men’ franchise, X-Force.
That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, who have revealed that 20th Century Fox are currently looking for and “readying a filmmaker search for a storyline that will involve” the posse.
The X-Force are a more aggressive and militant version of the X-Men, and their ensemble has in the past included Psylocke, who was played by Olivia Munn in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, as well as Deadpool, Domino and Cable, both of whom are already confirmed for ‘Deadpool 2’.
It’s unsurprising that 20th Century Fox are moving full steam ahead with ‘Deadpool’ and are already planning multiple sequels.
When ‘Deadpool’ was released back in February it was met with sterling reviews and went on to make $782.6 million at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing ‘X-Men’ film in the history of the franchise.
But last month it was revealed that director Tim Miller had dropped out of the sequel, while David Leitch (‘John Wick’) is the front-runner to step in and replace him.
The plan is still for ‘Deadpool 2’ to shoot in March next year, though, and it is believed, but not yet confirmed, that it will be released on January 12, 2018.
