Daniel Craig hints that 'No Time To Die' plot will connect to Bond's 'Casino Royale' trauma
Ever since Daniel Craig's first appearance as James Bond in Casino Royale, there's been a single driving force behind his tortured 007.
And that's Vesper Lynd.
The death of Eva Green's character in the 2006 movie, helmed by Martin Campbell, has informed Craig's character more than any other incident during his tenure as Bond.

And now Craig has hinted that this part of Bond's story will likely come full circle in his final turn in the tux, No Time To Die.
Speaking to Total Film, Craig said: “We started talking about it and I went, 'There might be a story we need to finish here – something we started in Casino [Royale].
“'Something to do with Vesper, and Spectre, and something that was connected, in a way'. It started to formulate, and I thought, 'Here we go.'”
Director Cary Fukunaga has also echoed Craig's sentiments, telling Fandango: “I think the emotionality was something that I was interested in, and wanted to explore, and [I] wanted to get deeper into the psychology of Bond after the tragedy of his relationship with Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale.
“And now, with the new relationship, with Madeleine Swann, what bringing all that baggage into this new relationship means.”
