Dafne Keen wants to play X-23 again in a future 'X-Men' film
Dafne Keen has declared her interest in one day playing X-Men character X-23 again.
Keen was just 12-years-old when she played Laura/X-23, the child clone of Wolverine, in 2017’s Logan, which marked Hugh Jackman’s farewell performance as the superhero. She received huge plaudits for her work in the film, too, with many fans insisting that she was the future of the X-Men franchise.

However, 20th Century Fox was then purchased by Disney, and the two most recent X-Men films, Dark Phoenix and New Mutants, were critical and financial disasters. Although, it’s pretty much a formality that the X-Men franchise will soon be rebooted, especially since the characters will almost certainly soon join the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point in the future.

The recent revelation that Disney are currently working on Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds still in the leading role means that there’s a chance Keen might be asked to return as Laura/X-23, though.
During her recent interview with Elle Keen made it clear that if Disney want her to reprise the role, she’s more than interested.
“I feel like we're just at the beginning, there’s more to be told, and it's a relay race. I come into play when they've already written and done pre-production and decided on doing the film, so as soon as they say, ‘go,’ I'll happily go whenever.”
Keen also made it clear that, before Disney’s acquisition of Fox, discussions had already begun about her playing X-23 again.

In fact, she talked with “some people at Fox” about making “another” X-Men movie when they “were filming” Logan. Unfortunately, though, “they haven’t contacted” her since.
