Christian Bale is no longer going to drastically change his weight for roles
Christian Bale never wants to gain or lose a lot of weight for a movie role ever again.
However, Bale, whose weight has repeatedly fluctuated throughout his career depending on the part that he is playing, recently admitted to CBS, via Entertainment Weekly, that he has made this promise before.

Bale’s physical transformations have been a cornerstone of his career. Most strikingly, Bale lost 62 pounds for The Machinist as he stuck to a diet of water, an apple, a cup of coffee and an occasional whiskey per day. Then after being cast for Batman Begins immediately after he had to binge on pizza and ice cream for six months in order to gain the necessary 100 pounds.
Since then he has lost weight to play a heroin addict in The Fighter, while he has also had to gain bulk for American Hustle and Vice, in which he played former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Bale went straight from Vice to Le Mans 66, with his co-star Matt Damon telling the same interview that Bale lost 70 pounds for the film.
