Couple Had A Minions-Themed Wedding And It Was Epic

We all like the Minions, right?

With their funny goggles, big eyes (or, in some cases, eye), smart dungarees and bizarre line in gobbledygook, they’re just adorable.

But their appeal isn’t restricted merely to children, as evidenced by the recent nuptials of Samantha Finan and Robert Thomas.

The betrothed pair from Cumbria didn’t merely go for the blue and yellow Minions colour scheme for their gents’ morning suits and bridesmaids’ dresses.

Nope, they had actual people in Minion suits at the big day too. And a Minions wedding cake, with the happy couple rendered as Gru’s sidekicks from the ‘Despicable Me’ movies in icing.

The event happened at the Chequers Hotel in Dalton-In-Furness, with the bride Sam telling the North West Evening Mail: “It’s just spiralled out of control.

“We were sat out the back and talking about themes and it just came up in conversation. We had a laugh about it.

“At first it was just going to be the cake. Then it was cuff links. Then the place cards. It has got a little out of hand.”

Indeed it did… the groom even got a Minions tattoo of himself and his bride inked to mark the special day.
