4K remaster of 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' coming to UK cinemas

A 4K restoration of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is coming to UK cinemas from 12 July ahead of the release of sequel Bill & Ted Face The Music on 28 August.

The 1989 film, starring Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves as a couple of time-travelling high school students, has been completely restored in ultra high definition, and will also be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, Zavvi Exclusive Steelbook and digital download on 10 August.

Details of the special screenings taking place from 12 July remain TBC, but there’s a brand new trailer to celebrate the film returning to cinemas. Watch it below.

There’s also a most excellent new poster for the film, with artwork by Carlos Dattoli, that you can check out below.

Excellent Adventure was followed in 1991 by Bill & Ted’s Bodacious Journey, and the third film – Bill & Ted Face The Music – will see original stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprising their roles for the first time in nearly 30 years.
