Tom Holland's Spider-Man will have a role in another Marvel movie
It didn’t take long for Marvel and Sony to recognise the error of their ways, work out their differences, and make Tom Holland’s Spider-Man a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe once again.
Obviously the most notable part of Friday’s announcement was that a third Spider-Man movie will be part of the MCU and will be released on July 16, 2021. Thankfully, though, Kevin Feige’s announcement also confirmed that Holland’s Peter Parker will appear in another “future Marvel Studios film,” too.

Unfortunately, the Marvel President didn’t go as far as to reveal which one of Marvel’s future films Parker will actually pop up in. There are plenty of options, though, with Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The ten Rings, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, and Thor: Love And Thunder all confirmed for release as part of phase 4, and then Black Panther II will kick off Phase 5 on May 6, 2022.
Holland’s Parker isn’t just going to interact with members of the MCU, though, as Feige’s shocking declaration also teased that Spider-Man will eventually go toe-to-toe with Tom Hardy’s Venom in the future, too.

“He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes,” continued Feige. “So as Sony to continues to develop their own Spider-Verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”
Fingers crossed we get to see a little bit of Spidey in Venom 2 when it is released on October 2, 2020, while we’re clearly going to see much, much more of Tom Holland’s webbed wonder over the next few years as he splits his time between Marvel and Sony.
