The Big Cigar | 17 May
More than a decade ago, Argo won the Best Picture Oscar for its true story of the way a fake movie allowed hostages to escape capture in Iran. This new Apple series takes on another true tale of how a falsified film production was used in a dramatic way. In The Big Cigar, Black Panther founder Huey P. Newton (André Holland) tries to escape the clutches of the FBI with the help of a movie producer and a fake film.
Based on a magazine article by Joshuah Bearman, this series also stars Alessandro Nivola and Moses Ingram from the Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
