‘Ant-Man 3’ confirmed, likely to be released in 2022
Further news on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been revealed after it was reported that Paul Rudd and director Peyton Reed are onboard to make Ant-Man 3.
The Hollywood Reporter were the first to reveal this news, declaring that Reed has signed up for the third Ant-Man movie, which will follow 2015’s Ant-Man and 2018’s Ant-Man And The Wasp, and is expected to start shooting either at the end of 2020, or at the beginning of 2021, with Marvel eying a 2022 release date.

While The Hollywood Reporter had no problem confirming that Reed has agreed to direct the film, when it came to Rudd they only wrote that he “is expected to return as Scott Lang.” It is almost certainly a formality that Rudd will continue to play Ant-Man, though, unless he has taken Martin Scorsese’s superhero comments really to heart.
While audiences are currently having to endure a 10-month long Marvel break, as Spider-Man: Far From Home will only be followed by Black Widow on May 1, 2020, the studio will then unleash a number blockbusters on cinemas.

The Eternals will arrive in November, 2020, while in 2021 we’ll get Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, Spider-Man 3, and Thor: Love And Thunder. 2022 is already taking shape, too, as Black Panther II has already been confirmed for May, while Ant-Man 3 looks set to follow in the same period, too.
No doubt we can expect Captain Marvel 2, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3, and Blade’s release dates to be revealed in the near future, too, and that’s before we even get to the addition of Fantastic Four and X-Men to the MCU.
