Prime Video UK February 2022: All the new movies and TV shows to stream
There can't be many tasks more daunting than stepping into the shoes of Tom Cruise — one of Hollywood's last true movie stars. But that's the challenge ahead of Alan Ritchson, who is taking on the role of Jack Reacher for a new TV series after Cruise played Lee Child's military man in two movies. Reacher is one of the most exciting new additions to Prime Video this month.
Elsewhere on the service, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is back for its fourth season and a selection of Canada's finest comedians enter a house together with the goal of avoiding laughter at all costs in a fun new game show. On the movie front, meanwhile, there's a brand new documentary about the England football team's record goalscorer.

New movies coming to Amazon Prime Video in February
I Want You Back (11 February)
In the sophomore directorial effort by Jason Orley — he previously helmed Pete Davidson comedy Big Time Adolescence in 2019 — Charlie Day and Jenny Slate play a pair of dumped thirty-somethings who join forces for a questionable goal. They attempt to reclaim their previous partners by sabotaging their current romances. It's a classic romcom setup and, with two very talented comic performers in the lead roles, it could be a fun ride.
Rooney (11 February)
Wayne Rooney is one of the most famous footballers in recent history, scoring dozens of goals for England and for Manchester United during the team's period of Premier League dominance. He has also been a controversial figure off the pitch and the subject of thousands of newspaper column inches over the years. This new doc aims to set the record straight in Rooney's own words, with contributions from his family and wife Coleen, as well as those who have worked with him on the pitch.

Phat Tuesdays: The Era Of Hip Hop Comedy (4 February)
This three-part docuseries tells the story of a hugely important milestone in Black comedy, following the introduction of the all-Black Phat Tuesdays comedy night at the Los Angeles Comedy Store in the 1990s. It includes contributions from a whole selection of very famous and beloved faces from the comedy world, with the likes of Dave Chappelle, Snoop Dogg, Cedric the Entertainer, Tiffany Haddish, Steve Harvey and Lil Rel Howery showing up.
Reacher (weekly from 4 February)
Lee Child's arse-kicker Jack Reacher has been the subject of more than 20 novels, as well as the two movies featuring Tom Cruise.
This new TV series brings him to the small screen, with Alan Ritchson leading the eight-part adaptation of Child's 1997 debut novel Killing Floor — the first book in the Reacher series.
Top Class: The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers S2 (4 February, via IMDb TV)
Top Class — the second season of the docuseries helmed by filmmaker Tevin Tavares — provides unprecedented and insider access into the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers basketball team, home to some of the most decorated and exciting prospects in high school sport.
LOL: Last One Laughing Canada (weekly from 18 February)
When you put a group of funny people together in a house, laughter seems like the obvious outcome. But that's the last thing the cast of Last One Laughing want to happen, as the final person to crack up will win money for a chosen charity. Amazon has deployed this format in numerous territories, with the latest bringing together some great Canadian comics, including Whose Line Is It Anyway? stalwart Colin Mochrie and Mae Martin — writer and star of the brilliant sitcom Feel Good.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel S4 (weekly from 18 February)
Rachel Brosnahan returns to star as Midge — the New York housewife turned stand-up comedian — in this 1950s-set comedy series. The fourth season begins with Midge at a professional low, trying to get her comedy career back on track after losing a high-profile gig.
