Yahoo Movies Alison Brie’s response to those She-Hulk rumours are pretty unconvincing
Alison Brie has responded to the recent speculation that she’s in-line to play Jennifer Walters, who is otherwise known as She-Hulk, in the upcoming Marvel series for Disney+.
But while Brie was obviously trying to keep it coy, her response to the barrage of questions from James Corden on The Late Late Show were pretty unconvincing.
After being asked about the gossip surrounding her possibly leading She-Hulk, Brie responded, “I woke up with a bunch of Instagram posts of side-by-side pictures of me and She-Hulk, which I just thought, ‘Cool.’”
“And then the quote about the ‘Alison Brie-type,’ which honestly I found very exciting because for years I auditioned for the ‘Anne Hathaway-type’ or the ‘Zooey Deschanel-type.’ I was very flattered to be my own type.”
Brie then tried to dismiss the topic with a flippant joke, as she added, “And then I made some phone calls, and we’ll talk about it later.” Later, Corden asked “Why, do you not want to play She-Hulk?”
All Brie would say to that was, “I find it interesting …” while Corden finished the discussion by insisting that he had never been more confident the actress was going to play She-Hulk. You can watch the full exchange below.
This isn’t the first time that Brie has had to contend with She-Hulk speculation.
Back in September, Uproxx asked Brie about the chances of her playing the superhero, which lead her to remark, “Oh my god, I saw a photo of me on Instagram as She-Hulk. I don’t know if we can call it a campaign, but I’d certainly support it.”

She-Hulk revolves around Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner, who is played by Mark Ruffalo in the MCU. She is a lawyer that helps various Marvel superheroes, who ends up becoming a version of the Hulk after she has to use Bruce’s blood for an emergency blood transfusion.
