Xavier recruiting roundup: 3-star Dezmon Briscoe lists Musketeers, Bearcats in top 6
The Xavier Musketeers are still searching for their first commitment from the Class of 2025.
On Tuesday, Dezmon Briscoe, a 6-foot-8 center, listed Xavier and Cincinnati in his final six, along with DePaul, Iowa, Butler and Duquesne, according to Joe Tipton of On3 Sports.

Briscoe, who attends Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis which counts Oscar Robertson among its alumni, is tabbed as a three-star recruit and the No. 22 center in the nation for the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports. He is also ranked as a top-10 player in Indianapolis for his class.

As a junior last season, Briscoe averaged a double-double per game at 14.3 points and 10.8 rebounds to go with 4.2 blocks. Briscoe is the two-time Indiana High School Athletic Association City Player of the Year.
Briscoe is not the first Indianapolis native to pit crosstown rivals Xavier and UC against each other on the recruiting trail. Fifteen miles north of Crispus Attucks High School, four-star point guard Azavier Robinson listed Xavier and UC in his top 5 last month. He has an official visit to Xavier coming up in September.

Who did Xavier offer over the weekend?
Xavier brass had a busy weekend in the south with Sean Miller and company recruiting at several events in South Carolina, Georgia and New Jersey.
The Musketeers extended an offer to another Indiana native in Tre Singleton, who announced the news on social media Monday night.

Singleton, a 6-foot-8 power forward for the Class of 2025, is listed by 247Sports as a three-star recruit and the No. 10 player in Indiana. Singleton participated in the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship over the weekend in Rock Hill, South Carolina and picked up offers from Purdue, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Louisville, Clemson, Charlotte, DePaul and Butler.
Singleton averaged 14.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3 assists per game last season as a junior at Jeffersonville.
Xavier also became just the second high-major program to extend an offer to in-state prospect Kruz McClure, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Westerville South High School. McClure announced the news on social media Sunday.

McClure already has another Big East Conference offer from DePaul, along with offers from Ohio, Miami, Kent State, Eastern Michigan and Toledo. Outside Xavier, McClure announced additional offers from Clemson, Old Dominion, VCU, Tulane and Arkansas State.
McClure was one of nine finalists for the Ohio Mr. Basketball Award last season. He was named the OCC-Capital and Division I district Player of the Year after averaging 23.9 points per game.
McClure also participated in the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship in South Carolina.
