Where to watch Columbus Crew vs Club America today? Time, how to stream Campeones Cup
In the midst of a final push near the top of the MLS Eastern Conference standing, the Crew have only five regular-season games remaining but also have for another trophy to compete for in the Campeones Cup.
The Campeones Cup, a winner-take-all title match between the previous season's MLS Cup champion and the Liga MX champion, will feature the Crew taking on Club America at Lower.com Field on Wednesday. The Crew and Club America have been in the CONCACAF Champions Cup and Leagues Cup tournaments together this season, but the brackets never lined up for the two clubs to meet, as Club America was knocked out in earlier rounds than Columbus, who reached both finals.
During regular-season play, the Crew worked their way into a tie for second place on Saturday with a victory over 4-3 Orlando City SC, putting them at 56 points. FC Cincinnati, the club also in second, tied 2-2 with Nashville SC.
No matter if it's a regular-season game in the final stretch of the season, or a chance to win a third title with the Crew, coach Wilfried Nancy is approaching all these games the same.
"I cannot be different," Nancy said. "I have to be consistent because I have to authentic and genuine with my players. ... It has to be the same. The same is to be consistent, to have a good performance and after that, the outcome, I cannot control that."
