Where Kansas football ranks in US LBM preseason coaches poll top 25

LAWRENCE — Kansas football is ranked No. 24 in the US LBM preseason coaches poll top 25 that was released Monday.

Head coach Lance Leipold and the Jayhawks finished the 2023 season ranked No. 23 in the coaches poll. The team reached a second-straight bowl game last season, which marked the first time the program had done that in more than a decade. The team also won the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, delivering the program’s first bowl victory in more than a decade, too.

Kansas is one of five Big 12 Conference teams in the poll. Utah leads the way at No. 13, with Kansas State at No. 17, Oklahoma State at No. 18, Arizona at No. 21 and Kansas at No. 24. All of those teams are in contention to win the Big 12 this season.
