Welcome back: Auburn football re-lands TE Hollis Davidson after his decommitment in May

AUBURN — A familiar face in the Class of 2025 has returned to Auburn football.

After originally committing to the Tigers in February before backing off his pledge in May, three-star tight end Hollis Davidson has rejoined Auburn's recruiting haul in 2025, he announced via social media Thursday. Davidson chose the Tigers over Florida State.

Davidson is listed at 6-foot-5, 238 pounds. He attends McIntosh High School in Georgia and is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 421 overall player and No. 23 TE in 2025. He's also tabbed as the No. 48 prospect in Georgia.

Three-star tight end Ryan Ghea, also from Georgia, is in the class as well.

Auburn is now up to 15 commitments in 2025, a group that sits just outside the top 10 with five months to go until the early signing period opens. It's a class that's headlined by four-star recruits safety Eric Winters, edge defender Jakaleb Faulk and running back Alvin Henderson.
