Tony Vitello's seven-year journey with Tennessee baseball hit its apex on Monday, with the Vols earning the program's first national title in Omaha via a 6-5 Game 3 victory over Texas A&M.
Vitello and the Vols celebrated as only they can do after Monday's win.
Vitello and his coaching staff embraced in their own version of a dogpile in the first-base dugout at Charles Schwab Field as the players spilled out in the infield following the final out of the game.

Then, Vitello embraced his father, Greg, for a lengthy and emotional hug before doing the same with the rest of his family and friends.

“That is the guy who has helped me get to where I’ve gotten," Vitello said about his father before the Vols' first trip of his tenure in 2021.

Next, Vitello spoke to ESPN's Kris Budden for the postgame interview that had plenty of highlights.
The Vols coach tried to fight back tears, then blurted out an expletive when he realized his face was on the scoreboard: "Holy (expletive), I'm on the (scoreboard)!"

Vitello then got doused with a Gatorade bath via a couple Vols players, including Kirby Connell.
He pumped his fist and gave a crotch chop while celebrating with the players.

Following the end of his TV duties, Vitello then celebrated some more with Vols fans in the stands.
At one point, Vitello ended up rows deep in a gaggle of orange-clad Tennessee fans, crowd-surfing his way back to the field with a fan's hat in his hand.
