Watch South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer embrace son after beating Kentucky

After South Carolina football defeated Kentucky 31-6 on Saturday at Kroger Field in Lexington, coach Shane Beamer didn't surrender his excitement. He was seen embracing his son, Hunter.

"You can't put it into words. It's amazing," Beamer said Monday on "SEC This Morning." "I'm very blessed to be in a profession where I can include my children. There are a lot of sacrifices I make because of the hours this job entails, but it makes it all worthwhile when I have days like that."

It was the first time since 2022 that South Carolina has started the season 2-0. The Gamecocks defeated Old Dominion 23-19 in the season opener.

Beamer said he looks forward to sharing more winning memories with his three children.

"To see the smiles on their faces, being able to hug my wife is cool," Beamer said. "We will have many more days like that going forward, and I'm very blessed to have a great support group around me."
