Watch: Draymond Green dustup with the Memphis Grizzlies leads to two technical fouls

It wouldn't be a Memphis Grizzlies game against the Golden State Warriors without a little feistiness. In the latest installment of the growing rivalry, referees had to step in to separate Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane and Warriors forward Draymond Green.

The situation carried over from the previous Grizzlies possession after Santi Aldama got an offensive rebound and putback against Green. Aldama and Green then faced off, leading to Green pushing Aldama and running back up the floor. The referees didn't stop the play, which led to a bigger stirrup.

Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins called a timeout and went to the referees for an explanation. After Green walked closely to Jenkins and the official, Bane walked toward Green. The two players had to be separated and received offsetting technical fouls.

Memphis may have a lot of key players out, but Aldama and Bane are two Grizzlies players who have been around for several of the recent big clashes between Memphis and Golden State. The two teams met in a postseason play-in game in 2021, a playoffs series in 2022 and played on Christmas Day the following season.

Neither team is at the top of the Western Conference this season, but the intensity is still there.
