Watch Auburn football RB Bo Jackson make appearance in student section at basketball game
AUBURN — An Auburn football icon returned to the Plains on Wednesday.
Legendary running back Bo Jackson was spotted smack in the middle of the student section at Auburn basketball's game against South Carolina in Neville Arena. Jackson, who won the 1985 Heisman Trophy, rushed for a program-record 4,303 yards in his four-year career with the Tigers.
Jackson was drafted by the then-Oakland Raiders with the first overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft. He went on to spend four years in the pros before injuries forced him into retirement in 1990. Jackson also played eight seasons in the MLB, and he was an all-star selection in 1989 as a member of the Kansas City Royals.
