Who do you want the Milwaukee Brewers to play first in the playoffs? Here's how you voted.

Bring on the New York Mets!

We asked readers who they want the Milwaukee Brewers to face first in the National League playoffs and the Mets got the most votes — nearly half of them.

We gave readers four choices, based on the Brewers' position as the No. 3 team in the league, facing the No. 6 team in a best-of-three wild-card series at American Family Field Oct. 1-3.

Here's the rundown of the voting percentages:

  • New York Mets: 47%

  • Atlanta Braves: 39%

  • Arizona Diamondbacks: 8%

  • San Diego Padres: 6%

While the Padres are several games ahead for the No. 4 spot — and still have an outside chance to catch the Los Angeles Dodgers and win the NL West — the other two spots are still up for grabs. The Mets, Braves and Diamondbacks entered Thursday night's play within a game of each other.

It was very clear that most voters want the Brewers to avoid the Diamondbacks first. That could be recency bias, since Milwaukee lost three of four games at home to Arizona last week, avoiding a sweep only by rallying from an 8-0 deficit.
