If you're like me, you have a weird preoccupation (bordering on superstition) with how a team performs in certain uniform combinations. For years now, I have been keeping a tally on how the Seattle Seahawks fare depending on their uniforms. Is this a perfect science? Does this matter?

To that I obviously say yes! But if you're someone who doesn't put any stock into that, it's still an interesting look back.

Each week for the 2024 season, we at Seahawks Wire will certainly continue to record the win/loss record of each uniform combo Seattle wears. Before we start, I figured it would be important to at least establish where the records are at before we embark on another season.

Below are the current win/loss records (including playoffs) for Seattle's threads:

  • All Blue: 65-25

  • All White: 8-10

  • White Jersey/Blue Pants: 26-21

  • White Jersey/Gray Pants: 3-10

  • Blue Jersey/Gray Pants: 7-6

  • All Wolf Gray: 13-2-1 (retired)

  • Action Green: 5-2

  • Green Jersey/Blue Pants: 3-1

  • Royal Blue Throwbacks: 1-1

The Wolf Gray jerseys were retired prior to the 2023 season, as the NFL only allows for a home, away, and two alternate jerseys. When the Seahawks ire-introduced the throwbacks, a uniform needed to go and the gray's drew the short straw. Unfortunately, the NFL allows Seattle to keep the gray pants in the rotation, which means they can still keep wearing their dreaded white jersey/gray pants combo.

As far as I'm concerned, I never want to see the Seahawks wear that particular combo ever again.
