The College World Series is nearly here, which means eight teams stand a chance at bringing home the 2024 national championship in Omaha, Nebraska.

But not an equal one — at least, according to oddsmakers.

The double-elimination tournament is also essentially the battle of two conference, as there are four SEC teams (Tennessee, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Florida) and four ACC teams (North Carolina, North Carolina State, Florida State, Virginia) still in contention.

The No. 1 national seed Vols were able to stave off regional 4 seed Evansville, which looked to become the fourth-ever 4 seed to reach the CWS. Meanwhile, No. 2 Kentucky defeated No. 15 Oregon State for a spot in the CWS, while No. 3 Texas A&M handled Oregon even after losing star outfielder Braden Montgomery for the rest of the season.

Defending national runner-up Florida, the 3 seed in the Stillwater Regional, is the lone unranked team to make the CWS this season. It reached this stage after defeating No. 11 Oklahoma State in the regional round, then No. 6 national seed Clemson in the super regional.

Tennessee baseball odds to win College World Series

The Vols are still the favorite to win the College World Series this season, boasting +250 odds, according to BetMGM.

Tennessee was able to eliminate Evansville, the lowest-seeded team remaining in the bracket, in three games in the Knoxville Super Regional. It defeated the Purple Aces 11-6 in Game 1 before falling 10-8 in Game 2 of the series. The Vols then punched their ticket to the CWS with a 12-1 win on Sunday.

Tennessee sports one of the most talented rosters in college baseball this season, with six players rated inside MLB's top-100 draft prospects for 2024.
