Knoxville area high school baseball fans should be glued to their TVs.

There will be some familiar faces performing on the biggest stage college baseball has to offer.

There are five Knoxville area high school baseball players from three different teams playing in the 2024 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which starts Friday.

Three players come from Farragut: senior catcher Cal Stark at Tennessee (55-12), senior right-handed pitcher Ryan Hagenow at Kentucky (45-14) and freshman utility player Jett Johnston at Texas A&M (49-13).

Tennessee also has freshman left-handed pitcher Dylan Loy — a two-time Tennessee Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year — from Pigeon Forge. Kentucky has senior infielder Reuben Church of Maryville.

In the case of Kentucky, this will be its first College World Series appearance in program history. Tennessee is making its seventh appearance and first in back-to-back years and Texas A&M is appearing for the eighth time.
