Tigers tickets at Comerica Park: Prices for final 3 games of playoff push vs. White Sox

The Detroit Tigers' playoff push continues at Comerica Park for the final three games of the MLB 2024 regular season.

The Tigers earned a 7-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday, inching closer to clinching a wild-card spot in the American League playoffs, the first time in a decade, and control their playoff future.

The Tigers sat seven games below .500 on Aug. 11 with a less than 1% chance of reaching the postseason according to multiple predictive models, but have gone 28-11 since, including four wins in a row and eight of nine to jump ahead of the Minnesota Twins for the third and final wild-card berth.

Entering Thursday afternoon's game vs. the Rays, the Tigers had a magic number of three with four games remaining, meaning they need a combination of three wins against the Rays and White Sox or Twins' losses in their final four games to clinch a postseason bid (or a magic number of five with Kansas City, who the Tigers are tied with for the second wild-card spot).

The excitement around the Tigers is reaching a fever pitch as the cards continue to fall in their favor. The Tigers went from having less than a 1% chance of making the playoffs — they were 11 games out on Aug. 10 — to now having a 91.4% chance according to Fangraphs.

It's expected to be a packed house at Comerica as the Tigers try to finish off the season against the Chicago White Sox, who on Sunday tied the single-season loss record dating to 1901 with their 120th loss.
