Texas Tech football star RB Tahj Brooks ruled out for Washington State game with injury

The Texas Tech football team will be without one of its most important players in tonight's matchup with Washington State.

Running back Tahj Brooks is listed as out for the game, Tech announced in its gameday availability report. He is listed out with an arm injury. Brooks had 27 carries for 153 yards and a touchdown in last week's season opener against Abilene Christian.

Head coach Joey McGuire said Monday that Brooks would be a true game-time decision and that the Red Raiders would be traveling to Pullman with four running backs. With Brooks sidelined, look more action from junior Cam'Ron Valdez. True freshmen Cameron Dickey and J'Koby Williams could also get some carries against the Cougars.
