DeAndre Moore Jr. is staying busy during his freshman season at Texas. And not just because he's a Longhorns football player.

The wide receiver is also a first-year food truck owner, according to a report from Eater Austin, which covers local fare in town.

Moore's food truck is called "Jive Turkey," focusing on "comfort food made from turkey." The truck opened in August in the Riverside neighborhood, close to the University of Texas campus. The truck brands itself as the "Home of DMO's Deep Fried Turkey Tacos."

Moore's mother, Taleea, is the chef inside the truck. Swapping beef with leaner turkey was a hallmark of Taleea's home cooking and helped create the unique aspect of the truck's menu.

Moore, who is funding his new business with NIL money, was a heralded four-star recruit coming out of St. John Bosco High School in Los Angeles, California.

According to the food truck's website, Jive Turkey's mission is to "bring quality dishes (Moore) loves, as well as partnering with local businesses to bridge the gap in the areas with food insecurities. Our mission is to provide authentic, homemade, high quality, inexpensive food to those that want the feel of going home to your family's home for a soulful meal."

"Jive Turkey" is located at 1637 East Riverside Drive in the Riverside neighborhood of Austin, Texas. The food truck is 2 miles away from UT Austin's campus and runs right off the Colorado River.

Jive Turkey is open from 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Friday, with Saturdays off during football season.

What's on the 'Jive Turkey' menu?

The food truck's calling card is Taleea Moore's specialty, replacing beef with turkey in all dishes. The menu contains three main items: the Jive Burger, the Jive Turkey (a cornbread bowl with turkey, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, gravy, and cranberry sauce), and the OG Jive (a deep-fried turkey taco with iceberg lettuce and cheddar cheese).

All main entrees are $15. Peach Jello desert is $5 and a three-flavor Kool-Aid Cup drink is $6.
