Texas football: Georgia game time at Royal-Memorial Stadium announced

The Texas football team's upcoming heavyweight bout with Georgia will get prime-time treatment.

The Longhorns and Bulldogs will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Royal-Memorial Stadium. The game will air on ABC.

Texas (5-0, 1-0 SEC) and Georgia (4-1, 2-1) both enter Week 7 as top 10 teams in the country. The Longhorns are the No. 1 team in the nation in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and The Associated Press' poll, with Georgia ranked fourth by the coaches and fifth by AP.

The Longhorns are 4-1 all-time against Georgia, most recently beating the Bulldogs 28-21 in the Sugar Bowl at the end of the 2018 season. Georgia's only win in the series came in the 1984 Cotton Bowl.

Texas will travel to Dallas to play Oklahoma on Saturday at the Cotton Bowl. Georgia will head to Starkville to take on Mississippi State.
