Tennessee Titans officially announce signing of wide receiver Calvin Ridley
The Tennessee Titans have officially the biggest member of their 2024 free agent signing class: wide receiver Calvin Ridley.
The Titans announced the signing of Ridley on Friday a day after the team signed and introduced running back Tony Pollard, center Lloyd Cushenberry, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie and linebacker Kenneth Murray.
Ridley was ranked as the best free agent wide receiver available in 2024 by USA TODAY and NFL.com. The Titans signed Ridley away from the rival Jacksonville Jaguars, who initially required Ridley in 2022. In 2023, his first full season in Jacksonville, Ridley put up more than 1,000 receiving yards.

A former first-round pick out of Alabama, Ridley is coming to the Titans after putting up 1,000-yard seasons as a member of both the Atlanta Falcons and Jaguars. He missed significant time in 2021 and 2022 for personal reasons and while serving a league suspension, but when he's been on the field he's consistently performed as one of the NFL's best and most dangerous outside threats.

Ridley was a deep ball specialist last year in Jacksonville, ranking among the top-seven receivers in the NFL in passes targeted his way 20 or more yards downfield. Ridley, 29, has scored at least seven touchdowns in every full season of his career.
Based on initial reporting about Ridley's contract, the Titans have committed to make Ridley one of the 10 highest-paid receivers in the NFL.
