New team atop SEC standings after Week 10
The Georgia Bulldogs are on top of the SEC standings after Week 10. Texas A&M's 44-20 loss at South Carolina ended the Aggies' undefeated SEC run and vaulted Georgia to No. 1 in the conference.
Georgia picked up a closer than expected 34-20 win over Florida. The Bulldogs and Gators were tied at 20 late in the fourth quarter before Georgia pulled away,
Georgia's opponent next week, Ole Miss, looked dominant in a 63-31 road win over Arkansas. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 25 of 31 passes for 515 passing yards and six touchdown passes in a nearly perfect performance. He connected with wide receiver Jordan Watkins early and often. Watkins had eight receptions for 254 yards and five touchdowns.
The Rebels remain in College Football Playoff contention, but need a big win over Georgia to improve their playoff hopes.
Tennessee beat Kentucky 28-18 in a tight home win to keep the Volunteers' hopes of playing in the SEC championship alive.
Quarterback Diego Pavia and Vanderbilt added to Auburn's misery with a 17-7 win at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Oklahoma earned a 59-14 nonconference win over Maine. Mississippi State beat UMass, 45-20, in an easy win.
Alabama and LSU had bye weeks ahead of their Week 11 clash. Missouri and Texas also had byes.
