Taliese Fuaga leaves Saints training camp practice with back injury
This is worth watching closely at New Orleans Saints training camp. Rookie left tackle Taliese Fuaga exited Thursday's training camp practice with an injury, which would be a big hit to the offensive line. Saints head coach Dennis Allen was short on details after practice.
"Back," Allen replied when asked what injury Fuaga was dealing with. The rookie first-round draft pick was seen leaving the field under his own power alongside a member of the training staff.
Allen continued: "All I know is they took him in probably during the individual period, he had some back tightness. It looked to me like prior to even starting practice he was stretching his back out maybe a little bit, so I don't know if that was starting to bother him beforehand."
Will Fuaga play against the San Francisco 49ers in this Sunday's preseason game? Allen said that he hasn't spoken with the team's medical staff yet, so he declined to say whether or not Fuaga will go. But he clarified that all healthy players are expected to play and Fuaga will be out there if he's able. For now all fans can do is wait.
