The New York Jets continued their 2024 NFL season with a 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7.
In any outing, it was a team effort as a whole. Individually, certain players stand out for better or for worse. That was the case in Pittsburgh on Sunday.
A stat line of five catches for 61 yards usually is not bad. However, the drop Wilson had leading to an interception was such a backbreaker that his stock goes down. He said it himself.
Stock up: Will McDonald IV
The Jets defense had a "bend but don't break" mentality for most of the contest. The offense never picked them up. Part of the successes defensively were because of McDonald. He recorded a sack and tackle for loss against the Steelers.
Stock down: K Greg Zuerlein
Another game, another miss. Zuerlein is not having a good 2024 season. At least he hit his extra-point attempt. His kick was blocked against the Steelers and he is a concern.
Stock down: CB Brandin Echols
Echols saw more playing time for the second-straight game because of DJ Reed's groin injury. He got picked on again and many were wondering why Steelers wide receiver George Pickens was not followed by Jets cornerback Sauce Garder earlier in the game.
Stock down: DT Quinnen Williams
It was simply just a quiet game for Williams. Steelers running back Najee Harris put up 102 yards rushing and Williams never stood out at any point.
Stock up: RB Breece Hall
While a bad game on offense, Hall did put up some numbers. He only had 38 rushing yards, but in the passing attack, he led the Jets. Hall had 103 yards receiving and did put away a rushing touchdown.
Stock down: QB Aaron Rodgers
Two interceptions and both were extremely demoralizing for the Jets. The Wilson one was not on Rodgers, but considering all the recent changes? Rodgers is out of excuses in New York.
Stock up: TE Tyler Conklin
Conklin had his first touchdown since October 2022. That will help his stock.
At 2-5, Aaron Rodgers and Co. face an uphill battle just to earn a wild-card spot, which is dismal compared to the expectations they had before the season.
