While Ryan Shazier remains in the hospital working toward a recovery from a serious spinal injury, his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates are preparing to take on their rival Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football.”

The game at Heinz Field is sure to feature some emotional moments as Pittsburgh plays its first game since Shazier’s Week 13 injury. Already we know a few Steelers players are planning their own tributes to Shazier with wideout Antonio Brown and defensive back Mike Hilton donning custom cleats for their injured teammate.

The cleats are a small, but symbolic gesture. And it’s one that reminds you no matter how intense the game gets, there are much more important things to worry about than football.

The game itself pits the top two teams in the AFC North against each other, but all of that seems irrelevant given the challenges facing Shazier. It’s also worth watching to see how the Steelers are able to regroup after seeing one of their defensive leaders suffer such a shocking injury.
