Steelers QB Russell Wilson works out with old teammate, internet goes wild
On Wednesday, a video surfaced on X, formerly Twitter of new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson working out with wide receiver DK Metcalf. Wilson and Metcalf were teammates in Seattle from 2019-2021 and both saw their best seasons when they played on the same team.
Metcalf is one of the many top wide receivers mentioned in rumors and reports and a potential trade target for the Steelers. This is along with Sand Francisco 49ers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel along with Denver Broncos Courtland Sutton.

In just looking over the replies to the post above, you can see fans are going to want to make this into something. This is a product of fans just so desperate to see the Steelers add more talent at wide receiver. The team has gone to such great lengths to improve this offseason, coming up short because of one position.
For all the talk of Aiyuk, adding Metcalf might be the best option. His relationship with Wilson and chemistry gives him a leg up on any other potential trade target and his ability to just take over football games pairs well with the big-play ability of George Pickens.
