The Pittsburgh Steelers' first preseason game is right around the corner. Mike Tomlin spoke to media at St. Vincent College to preview what's ahead, stating that Russell Wilson (calf) will not play. That means Justin Fields will get his first start in the Black and Gold.

"Justin Fields and the first unit offense will get a couple series in the preseason game vs. Texans on Friday night," ESPN's Brooke Pryor wrote on X.

Wilson sustained a minor calf injury at the start of training camp and had not practiced with the team until yesterday. Fields has been taking first-team reps, with the two splitting on Tuesday.
