Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields has been demonstrating growth and maturity both on and off the field.  During the media availability on September 12th, Justin Fields answered some tough questions about areas of practice to focus on, game script, and most importantly, Russell Wilson's injury.

When asked about how Wilson's injury impacts Justin Field's chance to earn a starting nod, Fields answered like a true leader should: "We can have this debate on who's the starter, who's not the starter, but my main job is to go in there and help my team win the game."

These leadership qualities are exactly why Pittsburgh is in no hurry to bring Russell Wilson back too soon from his calf injury.  They trust that the team is in good hands for the time being.

Justin Fields may have a few more opportunities to make his case as the long-term starter, but first will look to add another win to his 2024 resume in Denver, and continue to make the case that Pittsburgh has their quarterback of the future on their roster currently.
