Steelers insiders updates timeline for Isaac Seumalo injury
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without their starting guard to start the season, as Isaac Seumalo sustained a pectoral injury at practice on Wednesday.
According to Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Seumalo is expected to miss "about a month" of the 2024 season.
The question now becomes whether Seumalo will be placed on injured reserve or kept on the 53-man roster. If Mike Tomlin opts for IR, Seumalo must miss four games with return eligibility for the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 6.
Spencer Anderson worked as Seumalo’s backup in training camp and could be his replacement for the Sept. 8 season opener in Atlanta.
