Steelers make 2 roster moves ahead of Week 2 matchup with Broncos
When the Pittsburgh Steelers make roster moves throughout the season, you better believe an addition will always be a wide receiver.
On Tuesday, the Steelers signed Shaquan "Shaq" Davis to the practice squad and released linebacker Marcus Haynes in a corresponding move.
The New Orleans Saints signed Davis as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He spent his rookie season on their practice squad before an offseason signing sent him briefly to the Philadelphia Eagles. He returned to New Orleans during training camp.
Davis played at the collegiate level at South Carolina State, appearing in seven games in 2022 and finishing with 23 receptions for 546 yards and five touchdowns.
