What South Florida coach Alex Golesh said of rescheduled Memphis football game, Byrum Brown status
South Florida football will relocate to Orlando on Tuesday and officials will revisit the status of Saturday's Memphis-South Florida game after Hurricane Milton's expected late Wednesday landfall in Tampa, Bulls coach Alex Golesh said.
The American Athletic Conference announced Tuesday morning that the game, which had originally been scheduled for Friday night, would be moved to 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday. That could change again, though.
Golesh said the entire Bulls' staff will head to Orlando on Tuesday afternoon to prepare for the game. Tampa is in a hurricane evacuation zone and in the direct path of Milton; officials have warned that the storm could bring life-threatening conditions to the west Florida coast.
"A little bit of adversity for us, but it doesn't measure up to the adversity that this city's going to go through here," Golesh told local reporters. "Obviously hoping and praying for the best here."

Memphis canceled its media availability scheduled for Tuesday. Offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey and defensive coordinator Jordon Hankins had been scheduled to speak.
Golesh: South Florida QB Byrum Brown 'day to day'
Assuming the game does happen, the biggest pregame question will be about the status of South Florida's quarterback. Byrum Brown left the Bulls' loss to Tulane on Sept. 28 with an injury, and South Florida is coming off an open week.
Golesh said Brown is "day to day" and expected to have a better sense of his availability later in the week.
Brown is a dynamic dual-threat quarterback who routinely racks up double-digit carries. He has thrown for 836 yards and rushed for 269 yards this season. Memphis fans know Brown well — in last year's 59-50 shootout win for the Tigers in Memphis, he threw for 357 yards and five touchdowns, and rushed for 100 yards.
“I think the extra day helps us, but (Brown) has been awesome,” Golesh told local reporters. “He’s such a positive dude in general, but we’ll go day to day and see what he looks like closer to Friday.”
