South Carolina baseball eliminated by JMU with shutout in NCAA regional
It was win or go home for South Carolina baseball on Sunday.
The Gamecocks (37-25) had every opportunity to extend their season but with no runs on the day, James Madison got revenge and ended South Carolina's run in the NCAA Raleigh regional 2-0.
The Dukes (36-24) earned their first shutout of the season and it was just the second time South Carolina was shut out all season.

Dylan Eskew's pitching a bright spot for Gamecocks
South Carolina's Dylan Eskew pitched 5⅓ innings, allowing one run and four hits. Eskew struck out two to go with a highlight-worthy diving catch and throw to first base.
Tyler Pitzer replaced Eskew, allowing a home run in the eighth. Mike Mancini had both home runs for JMU. Parker Marlatt relieved Pitzer after Mancini's homer, with one strikeout in ⅔ innings.
In addition to strong pitching, the Gamecocks played error free baseball this time around. Against JMU on Friday, despite the walkoff win, South Carolina had four errors.
