Tennessee baseball is never out of a game, as Friday's comeback victory proved in the College World Series opener in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dylan Dreiling hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning to cap a four-run rally and a 12-11 Vols victory over Florida State at Charles Schwab Field.
UT will face North Carolina in a winners bracket game on Sunday (7 p.m. ET, ESPN).
The Vols trailed 11-8 heading into the ninth inning but got clutch hitting from Christian Moore, Blake Burke, Billy Amick and Dreiling with two outs.

It was an ugly game early for both teams, though Tennessee has two errors result in a six-run third inning for Florida State to give the Seminoles the lead. The Vols totaled nine walks and three errors in Friday's game.
FSU added two runs in the seventh inning to lead 11-7, and Tennessee added a run in the eighth inning to cut into the lead. Kavares Tears hit a leadoff triple in the ninth inning before being driven in with a RBI sacrifice fly.
Pinch-hitter Cannon Peebles walked on a full count to new FSU pitcher Brennen Oxford before Cal Stark popped out. The lineup then turned over to Moore.
Moore's star effort was the main reason the Vols were within any range, hitting for the cycle in his first four at-bats including a 440-foot home run in the sixth inning.
Moore lined a 3-2 pitch into the left field corner to continue the Vols' rally, with Peebles held at third base to set up Burke. The Vols first baseman lined a 3-2 pitch into center for a game-tying two-run single.
Amick also singled, setting up the Dreiling dramatics.
Dreiling took a ball before hammering a hanging off-speed pitch into left center in what would have been an extra-base hit.
The sophomore outfielder from Hays, Kansas was 4-for-6 with three RBI in Friday's game.
