Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley gashed the New York Giants for 187 total yards in a 28-3 drubbing this past Sunday.

Barkley's 176 rushing yards were a career-high at MetLife Stadium and eclipsed the Giants' entire offensive production (119). Things could have been even worse and more embarrassing for Big Blue, but Barkley decided to show his old team some mercy.

Just 13 rushing yards away from a personal best, Barkley decided to pull the plug. Sideline cameras caught him telling Eagles head coach Nick Siriani to take him out and let the "young boys eat."

"It's all good," Barkley said. "I'm good. I promise. I'd rather see the young boys eat."

When the final whistle blew, Barkley was just happy the entire thing was over.

"To be honest, I'm so happy this game is over. I don't think I should get, besides today, any more questions about the Giants but like I've always said, I'm thankful for the organization. They're the team that drafted me. I've still got nothing but love and respect for the guys over there," he said. "I'm happy to be an Eagle and most importantly we got a win today in the division. It's a division rival and now it’s onto the next one."

Barkley can downplay it all he wants but everyone knows he wanted to rub New York's noses in it. He felt disrespected and he made sure to put on a show in East Rutherford but when the opportunity arose to truly humiliate the organization, he selflessly passed in favor of his younger teammates.
