Saquon Barkley exacts revenge as Eagles embarrass Giants, 28-3

.
.

The New York Giants hosted the Philadelphia Eagles and old friend Saquon Barkley at MetLife Stadium on Sunday but Giant fans weren't as interested in the return of their former star as they were with their current one.

Sunday marked the return of rookie sensation Malik Nabers, who cleared the concussion protocol this week after missing the last two games.

Nabers' presence would not help much as Barkley would steal the show.

Final score: Eagles 28, Giants 3

  • The Giants could get nothing going on offense, netting just 119 yards on the day with their longest drive going for just 44 yards.

  • Barkley was virtually unstoppable, amassing 186 yards of total offense while driving dagger after dagger into the hearts of Giants fans and co-owner John Mara.

  • The Giants' offensive line missed the injured Andrew Thomas but was completely overmatched by the Eagles' defensive front who recorded eight sacks in the game.

It was over when...

Special teamer/linebacker Ty Summers injured his right ankle in the first half and was questionable to return. He was carted off and remained out.

Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt's woes continued as he fell on the football attempting to reel in a deep pass down the right sideline in the fourth quarter and was escorted off the field by training staff.
