Saquon Barkley exacts revenge as Eagles embarrass Giants, 28-3
The New York Giants hosted the Philadelphia Eagles and old friend Saquon Barkley at MetLife Stadium on Sunday but Giant fans weren't as interested in the return of their former star as they were with their current one.
Sunday marked the return of rookie sensation Malik Nabers, who cleared the concussion protocol this week after missing the last two games.
Nabers' presence would not help much as Barkley would steal the show.
Final score: Eagles 28, Giants 3

Eagles | 0 | 14 | 7 | 7 | 28 |
Keys to the game
The Giants could get nothing going on offense, netting just 119 yards on the day with their longest drive going for just 44 yards.
Barkley was virtually unstoppable, amassing 186 yards of total offense while driving dagger after dagger into the hearts of Giants fans and co-owner John Mara.
The Giants' offensive line missed the injured Andrew Thomas but was completely overmatched by the Eagles' defensive front who recorded eight sacks in the game.
It was over when...
Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown toasted Giants backup cornerback Nick McCloud for a 41-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. The Eagles went up, 14-0, which was crushing to the Giants who were struggling mightily on offense.
Players of the Game
NT Dexter Lawrence exhibited his dominance in the middle of the Giants' line with five total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, giving him 9.0 on the year, tops in the NFL.
LB Brian Burns played through a groin injury but still managed to have a solid game with another sack and a pass defensed.
S Tyler Nubin continues to have a strong start to his NFL career leading the Giants with nine total tackles on the day.
Injuries
Cornerback Cor'Dale Flott went out with a groin injury in the second quarter and was questionable to return. His replacement, Nick McCloud, allowed a 41-yard touchdown to A.J. Brown directly afterward.
Defensive end Brian Burns walked gingerly off the field on a goal-line stand in the third quarter but returned afterward. Burns has been nursing a groin injury all week.
Special teamer/linebacker Ty Summers injured his right ankle in the first half and was questionable to return. He was carted off and remained out.
Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt's woes continued as he fell on the football attempting to reel in a deep pass down the right sideline in the fourth quarter and was escorted off the field by training staff.
Long-snapper Casey Kreiter was also banged up early but didn't come out of the game.
What's next?
Head coach Brian Daboll will hold a Zoom call with the team's beat writers on Monday afternoon before a few players are also made available.
Big Blue will return to practice on Thursday ahead of a Week 8 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, October 28 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kickoff is 8:15 p.m. EDT.
